Surf

Just north of Playa Guiones, Ostional offers powerful, consistent waves year-round—ideal for experienced surfers looking for fewer crowds and more challenge. For warm water and forgiving beach breaks, Playa Guiones remains a global favorite with over 300 rideable days per year.

Lessons, board rentals, and local guidance are available nearby, we recommend Coconut Harry’s in the heart of Nosara.

Wellness

Nosara’s wellness culture is globally recognized—offering everything from daily yoga to massage, sound therapy, and holistic treatments. While the energy is centered in town, private sessions can also be arranged at the villa, depending on availability.

For private sessions or class access, we recommend Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort and Nalu Nosara.

MAYA sits along the edge of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge—one of Costa Rica’s most important protected zones and a globally significant nesting site for sea turtles.

Seasonal turtle arrivals and hatchings unfold just minutes away, alongside opportunities for quiet hikes and immersive ecological experiences.


Sport Fishing

Inshore and offshore charters depart from nearby Playa Garza, offering access to one of Costa Rica’s most abundant marine corridors. Half-day and full-day trips can be arranged with experienced local crews—focused on sustainability, skill, and world-class equipment.

Private Boat Tours

Discover the coastline by private charter—sunset cruises, hidden beaches, and wildlife encounters included. Charters can be arranged through trusted local captains, departing from Playa Garza or nearby marinas.

While MAYA does not offer in-house concierge services, we’re happy to connect guests with trusted partners who can assist in crafting personalized itineraries. To maintain privacy and service standards, all third-party providers entering the villa must be pre-approved in writing by our team.
